The word is out...

Solomon's Decision

is both sensuous and thought-provoking!

"After the accidental death of her beloved Jesse, Kathryn Pierson chooses artificial insemination and motherhood to help her survive her grief. Shortly after the procedure is performed, she has a chance encounter with an old friend of Jesse's, Erik Solomon, that leads to intimacy. Eight years later, Kathryn, now the mother of twins, works for the planning commission in rural Sunset County, Idaho. Erik Solomon is a senior associate with the National Wetlands Trust, an organization that actively strives to preserve the nation's few remaining natural wetlands. Erik and Kathryn are brought together when Erik comes to Sunset County to evaluate a privately owned wetland area threatened with commercial development.

I love a good romance. I really love a good romance with a message, so as an advocate of wetland preservation I was hooked on Solomon's Decision from the very beginning. The characters are multi-layered, their personalities well-defined and real, and it's obvious the author is familiar with the subject of wetlands and their importance.

Without giving away the plot, I can say that the community of characters Ms. Glad has created is absolutely wonderful. Kathryn's friends are caring and true, her twins precocious and real without being stereotypical, the demons driving both Kathryn and Erik Solomon, heartbreaking and poignant.

The action rings true in every scene-it's been many years since I've ridden a horse in a high-mountain storm, crossed rain-swollen creeks or marveled at the beauty of a hidden wetland marsh. Ms. Glad's lyric descriptions take the reader to those special, magical places few people ever really experience. This is a story worth savoring, a multi-layered romance with a message beyond love and passion. It's a story of growth and redeeming love with a feel-good ending that will bring you back again and again-definitely a keeper...and a serious invitation to read more of Judith B. Glad's stories!

"Filled to the brim with angst and romance, SOLOMON'S DECISION is not a light-hearted read. Kathryn and Erik are complex characters with hopes and fears that make the difficulties of their lives all the more real. The pain they both harbor deep inside casts a dark shadow over them, and readers will be rooting for these two soulmates until the very end."

"For a love story between two people who are destined to be together, don't miss SOLOMON'S DECISION..."
